“I’m A Star, I Smoke A Tree, B*tch I Be Like Falala!” Independent artist, Lielaurent uses witty lyrics, melodic hooks, and figurative language to simulate visual imagery and music that makes people feel empowered and want to move.

Based from “El Barrio” Spanish Harlem, New York City Lielaurent was exposed to music at a very young age. From his father as previous music producer and manager as well as local artist such as “De La Vega” who captivated and adorned the community with his street aphorisms and muralistic artwork. As a kid he knew that he too - wanted to captivate the communities and their hearts. With the music influences such as Lauryn Hill, Usher, Mary J Blidge, Jay Z he was able to pour his heart out into his music. This encourages his new talent - songwriting.

In the early stages of Lielaurent work he was cultivating poems or songs rather that he sent to countless artist such as Faydee, Tila Tequila, and many other international versatile artist through MySpace.com Growing up in the hood wasn’t easy to stay out of trouble. Drug influences, stealing, gang activity was normal. But with already experiencing drug addiction with his biological mother, losing his Grandmother early on, and then dealing with the separation of of his parents he was very strong, focused, and adaptive to his surroundings.

Music is his escape. His music is also the very thing that provided his strength and an ability to express himself to the world without being completely vulnerable. Lielaurent later grew up in the suburbs of Long Island with one of his aunts and with a change of scenery he encouraged himself to do more than just schooling. Landing great opportunities on MTV, such as MTV: The Seven, MTV: GuyCode Season 1, MTV Copycats Season 1 And even an HBO series that was produced and directed by James Franco. After successfully signing to a modeling agency Lielaurent went on to collaborating in a music group iOverload with a digital deal with DefJam and vocal trainings from Boris Borhiev - vocal coach for Alicia Keys, Karina Pasian, and Leah Jenea. Unfortunately the group didn’t last.
