Where are you from?

A: Brooklyn, NY

How long have you been doing what you’re doing and how did you get started in the first place?

A: I’ve been recording music for 25yrs now. Started out as a teenager in ’93.

Who were the first influences on your music and style?

A: Probably Method Man. MOP. Redman. Early Big Daddy Kane. I’ve always been a fan of dude that really rap.

In your opinion who is the most influential and successful artist in your genre today and why?

A:Well I believe success is unique for each person. So if record sells equal success to you then I would say Drake is the most successful at this time. Kendrick as well. I personally like the career of J. Cole. I love the live performance aspect of it and he’s constantly touring. So yeah, there’s a few examples of what I would consider successful.

What aspect of the music making process excites you most, and what aspect discourages you the most?

A: I really like performing to a live audience. The ability to create a moment with a stranger is exciting to me. I’m not a big fan of doing press.

In your experience thus far, what is the best piece of advice in this business you actually followed? And one you didn’t follow, but now know for sure that you should have?

A: The best advice I’ve been giving that i actually followed was to remain true to myself with my art. Don’t start doing things just for money. The best advice I’ve gotten that I didn’t follow immediately but wish I would have is forget about a record deal. Invest in yourself. I’m doing it now but had I listen to that advice 15yrs ago I’d be a lot further along in that journey.

Which ingredient do you think is most essential in making your sound and style the way it is?

A:Truth. I feel like as long as I put my truth in my art it will always be a reflection of some part of me.

What single are you currently pushing and what will you be dropping next?

A: Right now we are pushing “Zeeno & The G’z” feat. Fly Ty of the Rockboy G’z. The full self-entitled LP “Zeeno” will be available everywhere 5/7/2020.

What can fans expect from you in the future and where can they stay up to date on your movement?

A: Fans can expect me to continue to push the envelope as an artist. Also look for me to throw my hat into the executive game. Big Band Music Group is my production company and I plan to start laying the foundation down for that. Helping other artist achieve their own personal goals.

You can follow me on any of my social media platforms to stay up to date and in tuned with everything Zeeno.
