In May of 2006, four women from East Cleveland, Ohio decided to try their hands at rapping. Ms. BoiToy, Lil Sex’E, Tay Teez and Mz. Luck came together as D.O.C (Dymes of Cleveland) ShowStoppaz, but have been friends and entertaining people for over 13 years. With a sexy swag of their own and a rap style different from any other group, these four ladies are undeniable.
The ShowStoppaz set a new standard in Cleveland on how women could perform on the stage in the studio. Their explosive and first mixtape “F*@k the Glamour” showed that women could spit as hard as the guys and earned them the title of Cleveland’s Best Street Group in the CP2 Magazine. The ShowStoppaz have also been nominated for Best New Group & Best Group in the 2007 and 2008 Ohio Hip Hop Awards. In December of 2008, D.O.C won Best Group for the Rebel Army Radio Awards. D.O.C has opened up for numerous artists such as Gucci Mane, Juvenile, Yung Joc, Rich Boy, Crime Mob & more.
