Money and Family (MAF) … A dichotomy in itself and the perfect representation of Philly’s own Miz MAF. Miz is taken from a name given to him by the streets and MAF, is a representation of what he stands for and what motivates him. A member of Street Spittas Entertainment, Miz MAF is making his mark on Philadelphia and beyond.

Growing up in North Philly, Miz was influenced by the music his uncles would play in the neighborhood. “Paid in Full” by Rakim became his theme song and rapping was no longer a dream – it became his reality. When listening to Miz it’s easy to hear that he is strongly influenced by the people surrounding him. His music emphasizes street life and family interwove over hard beats. Listen to the track “Song Cry” and hear a description of rough street life and dreams of a better life. Listen harder and you can hear the influence of some of the great lyricists in the game, Raekwon, Ice Cube, Jay-Z, Nas, Scarface, 2Pac, Biggie Smalls, and Snoop Dogg. 

In High School, Miz MAF linked up with a man name Ro. Together they created Street Spittas Entertainment. More than just a record label, Street Spittas is committed to the grind and the success of the group as a whole. With films, mixtapes, albums, and live performances, they have made their name as a powerhouse in the Philadelphia rap scene. Miz MAF along with Al Gutta and Hommicide, Mass Guliano, are about to take it to the next level with their music.
Miz MAF’s music simply put is “narration of life”. Miz puts his thoughts into rhymes which are inevitably dissected by the people, which is exactly what he wishes to happen.  

His music is timeless and has an engaging sense of reality, evident in the track “My 2 Loves” where he talks about the parallels of tragedy and appreciation for life. His music strong and powerful represents the good and bad of life. Through his lyrics he verbalizes reality in a way that could help raise a fatherless child or give comfort in times of strife. Miz is a representation of his fans and when watching his performance, there is a feeling of oneness that solidifies the movement. Ro, CEO of Street Spittas entertainment elaborates, “He connects with his fans by giving a never ending show performing to the point of exhaustion just to give the fans the same love they give him.”

This movement starts with the most valuable asset, Street Spittas Fans. They play a major role in what is happening for Miz and Street Spittas. They say don’t be a follower … but if the leader is teaching his followers how to be a leader then … You already know. Keep it Street!!!!

Still awaiting the recognition he deserves, competition motivates him to create, grow, and develop every day. Miz MAF is the voice of the thoroughbreds that have moved with him throughout the years.
