XL The Band Release Video For "Sludge" @Xltheband

Vancouver based postmodern pop-rock/hip-hop group XL The Band has officially launched a new video for "Sludge" online at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sLcdQXIh2QQ. The track was recorded at Chamber Studios in Nanaimo, British Columbia and produced by Rob The Viking.

XL The Band is comprised of Prevail and Rob The Viking from Juno Award-winning hip-hop group Swollen Members, vocalist/flutist Liesa Norman from The Leisure Principle, and Neph from Alpha Omega. XL The Band combines the groove-based rhythms, catchy melodies, avant-garde flute, synth/keys, and then filters it through a hip-hop lens to creates something truly unique and original.

With respective careers that have covered the globe, from playing with the Vancouver and Toronto Symphonies to sharing the stage with Michael Bublé, David Lee Roth, Chantal Kreviatzuk, Cheap Trick, Foo Fighters, Kid Rock, Bif Naked, Nickleback, Joe Satriani, Buffy Sainte-Marie, James Galway and many more, these musicians run the most insanely diverse performance gamut.

They have also collaborated with numerous well-known artists such as Chris Vrenna (Nine Inch Nails), Chris Crippin (Hedley), Daniel Adair (Nickelback), Internationally acclaimed author Joseph Boyden, and the Grammy award-winning Ben Mink. Collectively, The Leisure Principle years of music industry experience to draw from, as members of the group have been individually signed to Universal Roadrunner and Koch/Nevada prior to coming together in this new venture.
