MUSIC MANAGER SPOTLIGHT: DC, MD, VA's MayorOfDMV

Known as an "Indie Tour Manager”, he is an entrepreneur, party promoter, and the senior vice president of brand marketing at SGod Records, owned by himself and AGoff. He also runs the SGod management division “MayorOfDMV Management”.​
Before fame MayorOfDMV worked as a show promoter and an indie road manager for Brother Maniac and the 13 State “Hip-Hop for the Homeless Tour”. By 2009 he made his way to a position at Based World Studios, where he also helped the brand marketing for BasedWorld.Com. In the early 2000s he was one of the business people behind artist Lil B The Based God and the BasedWorld brand. He along with Anthony Goff (AGoff) created the indie hip-hop label “SGod Records”, joined by various upcoming indie acts (Lil Foreign, Trap Sade, Yung Horus, Kemet Dank God, and many more) and then went on to create his own management company “MayorOfDMV Management”.
After the success of his SGod record label Sean Anwar Thomas, was named one of the 100 Most Powerful Power Playas in the DMV Life February 2013 issue. He is also heavily involved in SouljaBoy’s SODMG Enterprise brand, having marketed and worked with Based God, Riff Raff and AGoff. The rapper Agoff was his first big sign at his own record label SGod Records.
MayorOfDMV hosts full service booking and indie artist management based in the city of Washington DC, Maryland and Virginia. MayorOfDMV offers non-exclusive artist agreements, as well as full indie touring services. The Mayor books venues appropriate to each artist's genre and audience. He has worked with indie and major signed artists from all over the world (The Unites States, Europe, Jamaica) and in different stages of their career.One thing is still common to them all; they are all ready to advance their music careers. MayorOfDMV can assist with securing physical or online media distribution, sync licensing agency deals, booking regional North American tours, and help secure sponsorship/endorsement partnerships for artists. Although MayorOFDMV mostly only books for his locality, many artists on his service roster have previously done international touring and are based overseas.
