In a industry filled with cookie-cutter rappers, Oceanside, Ca. artist Macc Honcho has created a lane of his own. Raised by a Air Force father he has lived all over the world but he considers Oceanside home. His parents were a huge influence in his life, they were disciplinarians who used to make sure his grammar was proper, no elbows on the table etc..
As hip-hop continues to dominate pop culture Macc continues to perfect his craft. He is not your average rapper he is a street poet.
Macc discovered his love of music at an early age from his mother who sang alot, he would sing along to her Stevie Wonder albums and listened to everything from Luther Vandross to N.W.A.
He went on to discover his passion for rapping at the age of 16 and knew that was what he wanted to do, he has been focused and driven to make a name for himself in the music industry every since. His musical influences include Mac Mall, Scarface, The whole L.O.X. but newer and younger generations like Kendrick, J. Cole, Big Sean, Drake, Lil Baby, Future, Schoolboy Q, and Nip (R.I.P.)
His flow is rapid-fire, rhythmic and charismatic with countless pitch shifts and ad-libs. Versatility is one of his strong points and he uses his music as a diary giving him the ability to connect with fans who have experienced similar situations in their life.
Macc previously released a mixtape on bandcamp.com called T3 (Transpaccin, Transportin, & Transitions) under the name Criss Cream for We Lifted Ent. Once he got incarcerated for a second term he put out a couple more projects. Most notably a collection of mixtape songs on soundcloud.com called the Godless Era under the name Macc Honcho. He is currently working on another project before he gets parole called Big Homie.
No stranger to performing, his most memorable performance was opening up for Dave Hollister at an All Black Affair and the Fanaticz.
He explained his goals are really centered around paying back the people that believe in and support him like his brother Big Eff Yuh at CMF ent. and Big Ghost at West Royaltee.. Day ones.
He wants to be a voice to his city and generation, showing them that success is still possible after the system has taken so much time from you in the way of prison terms. He wants to be an example, a beacon, in a nutshell. His lyrics express the importance of unifying and not being a puppet to society. Macc Honcho is truly redefining the rap game.
