Jimmy Darko - "Zeke"

Hailing from Dallas, Jimmy Darko is an American rapper, author and poet known for his technical skill and meaningful content. While he began his career under the stage name Semi;, he has since transitioned from scope of SoundCloud and is building momentum with his sound. While currently choosing not to sign with a label, Jimmy does his work primarily with the Fresh Pacc collective. He recently released his first album under the title, “Designer Depression,” and is steadily gaining recognition. He is able to cater to a wide range of audiences with his songs varying from lyrical aggressive rap to heartfelt melodies. The former are encompassed in songs such as “Sad Drops,” “Leezy,” and “Zeke.” This is Jimmy Darko’s more militant side, he clearly attacks each track with all he has in the tank. The later is shown with songs such as “All Hearts Heal,” “Rewind,” and “Dead Ends.” These tracks are more retrospective and show a calmer side to his style, deepening each tracks meaning through thoughtful reflections of his past.
