INDICA SPITTS was born in Cleveland, OH and raised in Warrensville Hts a suburb of Cleveland. Her love for Hip-Hop began when she was just 5 years old and. At age 7 she joined her first break dancing crew. However, it wasn't until age 9 that she knew she was born to be a lyricist, and shortly there after she began performing. In 1993 at the age of 13 she joined her first Hip-Hop group called AFTAMAFF ORIGINOO with her brother in-law Vic Vegas (Big Vic & Indica), performing their first show at club Hennessy on Cleveland’s Westside. By 1999 Big Vic & Indica were nominated for Best Hip-Hop Duo at the first annual Cleveland Free Times Awards. These awards were held at the Odeon, where they opened up for the well know acts such as Ja-Rule and The Murders, The Boot Camp Click, and The Wu-Tang Clan.

One of INDICA SPITTS most monumental moments occurred while opening up for Reakwon The Chef, of the The Wu-Tang Clan and American Cream Team, at Peabody's Down Under. There she gained not only the respect of Reakwon The Chef but American Cream's team member Chip Banks "Bankie". Gaining the friendship with Bankie landed her two offers for a solo deal and an introduction to A & R Deidre Lacasse, and the opportunity to go back and forth from Cleveland to New York with Chip Banks working on her solo project. Sadly her dream came to a screeching halt, when friend and business associate, Chip Banks was brutally gunned down in November of 2000. Devastated by the loss, she took a 3 year break from Hip-Hop, vowing never to return. But that proved to be an impossible task for her. In 2004 INDICA SPITTS returned to the sound booth, only to close the chapter of a 10 year partnership to fulfill her solo career in 2007.

As a solo artist INDICA SPITTS chose to go in a different direction - collaborating for the first time with other artists., on songs like "MOXIE" with artist RIFF-RAFF on his album "The Blue Collar MC" and "Free" with artist J-Brad of BDX Boondocks 216 on VOL. 1 of "The Kill Ya Self Mix-Tape", and a few feature spots on Syncronaut Beats Squads Cleveland Car Bomb, blowing up in the streets. With her solo career taking off like a rocket this girl is on FIRE!!! INDICA SPITTS is going strong and still reigning supreme. As of recent she has won another award "Artist of the Year 2014" courtesy of GIRL ON FIRE INTERNATIONAL !!!!
