From Detroit, now living in Dallas, Donn Chii grew up influenced by rap/hip-hop culture but picked up bass guitar at 14, getting heavily involved in rock bands. For years, he played in rock/metal/punk bands, studied music in college, toured, slowly crafted his skill then made his influences his own. He upholds an ambitious spirit and positive mindset. His passion is what sets him apart and is clear through his music and life. His new release “Dojo Demos” is a 9-track, self-produced EP that introduces a new genre he calls “space rock hip hop.” He continues to expand his musical résumé in the studio, through live performances and collaborations with other artists.
