2018 has been a great year for Hip-Hop so far. Not only a new musicians emerging, but their tracks can be heard on radio stations and streaming platforms throughout the nation. Their fan bases are expanding and their lyrical prowess is growing. Diversity is the key to individuality and each musician has their own independent "it" factor.

In the 1980's and 90's Hip-Hop had a more regional feel before later developing into the grand sound that we hear today. That sound has propelled artists and their crews (a'la Goldlink) to super-stardom. The DJ has always been an essential part of the crew. Helping to develop the sound, charisma and stage presence of the musicians has always been the DJ's key role.

Many DJ's are branching out and making big names for themselves. Names range from Zedd and Steve Aoki to DJ Khaled and DJ Akademiks.
