Cleveland rising star's life taken before her time.

On Sept 4th, one of Cleveland's rising stars, Joy Cranfield, was killed by stray bullets and passed away during an emergency surgery to save her life.
Joy was ½ of the hip hop duo 2much, her music partner in the duo is Joy's identical twin sister, Jasime.
Joy's murder comes as a heartbreaking shock to her community and the music community in the Cleveland area. The young aspiring musical duo, who are just 18 years old, have been on the rise for the past couple of years.

Their rise to becoming stars was helped with their close work with well known platinum producer Young Yonny (Production with artists such as: Trina, Lil Wayne, Lil Mo Fablous, Ray Cash and many more) and in Sept. 2006, 2much released a video for their song "So Fresh" which was produced by Young Yonny, and featured a cameo from hip hop super star Trina of Slip n Slide records.There has been 2 arrests made in the case and news reports have stated that the Joy and Jasime knew the two boys, who are only 16 & 17, who have been arrested in the case and news states that Joy was an innocent victim.

I personally have met these two young ladies several times over the past couple of years, and I was absolutely shocked to hear the news of Joy's passing. I know people say it, but I couldn't put it any other way then you truly couldn't have met two nicer girls who were on the rise as young stars and had so much to offer, from real talent, true humility and so much more was evident even from my very first meeting with them.
I am at an absolute loss for words at this very moment.

There has been a charity event set up for this Fri Sept 12th (information below) in Joy's honor.Rest In Peace Joy,you will be deeply missed, and My prayers go out to the Cranfield family.

This is really a touchy situation & it is so sad 2 c. As artist we need 2 be more involved in our communities. The guns are 2 available 2 these children & smethn must b done about it. I don't have the answers but if we come 2gether, smethn will give. Even if we save 1 more life. I also have a song that I'm workn on that pertains 2 situations such as this. I might b there Friday if I don't go 2 Columbus on a business trip. Lets get 2gether ya'll.
